Lifetime achievements: I’ve completed a marathon, three duathlons, various crossfit competitions and competed as a semi-pro rugby player.

What would you say motivates you to do Crossfit? To keep me fit, athletic and it’s a great test every workout.
What are your strengths and weakness? My engine is probably my greatest strength and my strength is my biggest weakness.
Which workouts do you enjoy the most? Chippers. And in a sickening kind of way I like the ‘death by’ workout format.
What are the goals you most want to accomplish within Crossfit? To keep improving in all areas of my fitness.
Did you have any key mentors or people who deeply influenced you to take up crossfit? No. I stumbled across CrossFit when I was travelling a few years ago. Enjoyed the test of the workouts and how they helped my performance as a rugby player.
How has crossfit changed your life? It’s made me a more rounded athlete. It’s also helped me in my job as a personal trainer with how to structure programs and make them enjoyable for my clients.
Have you had any injuries or setbacks and how have you dealt with them? A nagging back injury (degenerated discs in my lumbar) and most recently a stress fracture to my right tibia. Rest and working around the injuries alongside Activ7 products have been my protocol to help me get back to full fitness.
What advice you would you give to athletes new or old that you know now but didn’t back when you first started? Enjoy the journey. Don’t take training too seriously and remember to have fun whilst you’re at it! Set goals that you want to achieve but remember you have a life outside of fitness.
